    Ok so I just need to find a girl who can sing better than everyone else her age, who has such a unique voice that her music spawns entire subgenres of artists who sound like her, who is able to fit the right media image, perform, and obviously record the vocal part for the song I'm making similar to this??? Got it.

    8 seconds in and i know you are helpful, because you actually show how production leads to better mixes. If the production is bad, the mix will be bad. For me mixing is making sure that the sound selection and sound design are good and leveling everything up, add fx, and high and low cut on the equalizers. Quality content! Remember i just 8 seconds in. You have got a great hook. I can see the confidence. Keep it up!

  • @yepyepmusic

    I am glad your channel is focus on the production and sound selection because it is the most important thing. For me "mixing" is just leveling stuff and puting low and high pass filters on sounds that aren't the bass. However, good sound design can take me a while, and i do use mixing plugins, but it is more for production rather than mixing.

      @@NathanJamesLarsen mixing is good one of the hardest things. Making song, finding music etc. are easier. But joining music and recorded vocal in a fancy manner is mist struggling thing. That's why me and many others watch these mixing videos.

    What if we watch mixing tutorials but not ONCE have found any mixing tutorial music sound creative, unique, interesting or worth investing any time into? They always make me want to avoid their sound like its the plague. It is all mediocre hot trash that sounds like most of the failure generations that have come and gone. Its cool to make particular stuff louder or more quiet but if i have to mute the video just to get to the important parts.... How could it possibly be worth time and money? If they enjoy hearing it so much they're gonna buy plugins to make a decent replication of bullshit on the radio, why not just go listen to the radio? Instead of annoying anyone within earshot of the malade melody people are so hell bent to replicate? Its not difficult to hear something and easily name 10 other artists who already overkilled the sound... So why pretend and expect viewers to not find it completely wasted time and burdensome just to find out you should turn the dry wet knob two clicks left? If one can classify a track by genres and subgenres... HELLO!!! Its fckiNgDead! Eq'ing dookie doesnt make it smell like roses, no matter how many UAD plugins you spent out the rectum for... For me... Its nearly impossible to watch and hear fraudulent wannabes and actually attenpt to sound like that, all mixing tutorials do for me is hold up a huge WARNING sign saying... DONT DO THIS OR ELSE YOU WILL SOUND LIKE THAT!!! or CAUTION, DO NOT GO THIS WAY, TURN BACK QUICKLY!!!! WRONG WAY!!!!

    • @austonsmith536
      @austonsmith536 7 днів тому

      Genres have been tainted for decades. Time to create original sounds, this SHOULD go without saying but most home studio guys are not actually artists and share the notion.... Everything's already been done before, no point in trying to create your own sound. But guess what? They're not real or honorable to themselves. They don't know how to implement their soul into their work, their heart is in the wrong place. And it really sucks for us who are dedicated to CREATIVE efforts. US who create our own paths through life's forest. Making it imperative or vital to avoid at all costs, unless one wants their own efforts to be compromised. They're cancerous and degenerative to creativity. You must sever the ties, have no friends. Have no social class to adhere to or else all life's decisions lead one to an early death to art, to freedom of expression.

    If you select all you vocal channels & then create a summing stack its ads them all to a "folder" & gives you the bus. its 2 clicks. you can then ad your group processing to that bus. Select tracks > right click > create track stack > choose summing stack done

    • @NathanJamesLarsen
      @NathanJamesLarsen 8 днів тому

      Yep this is a pretty dated video before summing stacks were in Logic if I'm not mistaken - summing is the way for sure. Automatically makes a bus out and then you can do additional fx busses from there

    Great video! This reminds me of another rule of three that I’ve heard that applies to music, poetry, comedy, etc. For instance, Lucy In The Sky, the chorus line happens three times per (with stacking harmonies on the third time). 4 times sounds like too many, 2 doesn’t feel like enough. Interesting to see that 3 is sometimes perfect but sometimes where people lose interest.
